We began operations in 2005. Me (Scott) and my wife Holly Kristiansen started our company out of the need to solve a unique problem. My job at the time was overseeing operations at a warehouse and one of our new clients asked that we deliver a truckload of printed materials to the 8th floor of an office building in Washington DC.
The job required a moving company that had the equipment and manpower to haul the materials from the street, down a bumpy brick path, into a small elevator and up to the 8th floor. The job was labor intensive. But the bigger problem was that the jobs were unable to be scheduled with more than 24 hours notice. We could not find a moving company that had that much staff standing by on such short notice.
So we hired a courier service because they had the truck and driver available on short notice. The problem here was that the burden to unload the truck fell on the client which put them in a jam.
That’s when we decided to get our own truck and work on a list of “helpers” that worked and lived around DC that we could call or text on a short notice to come help unload a truck for same day payment. Holly oversaw this project and was our key truck driver for several years.
Our philosophy was to simply provide really great service. We believed that working hard and finding solutions could lead to opportunities.
We continued to build our company over the next five years adding new clients and bringing on new drivers.
In 2010, we merged operations with Trans Time Express and that has allowed us to expand our services we offer to our existing clients. Today, we have a team of over 200 contractors, we cover lower Pennsylvania, all of Maryland, Washington DC and Northern Virginia.
Our Fleet includes straight trucks, vans, cars and bicycles. We also offer warehousing and fulfillment out of our Baltimore warehouse.
